Safety Caution and Disclaimer

WHAT WE SELL:
We sell you the information we believe you need to repair your boat motor based upon the information you give us. We do not guarantee that you will be able to repair your own motor. That depends upon your skill, your tools, the problem with your motor, and the accuracy of the information you provide to us. I give you my promise that I will do everything I can to help you, and I will give you accurate information; but the final outcome depends mostly on you.

DANGER:
All safety precautions in all service manuals and all safety procedures for working around machinery with gasoline, electrical equipment, and moving parts must be followed. When working with flammable liquids make sure to remove any spark, fire or open flames from the area.. Boat motors produce high voltage electrical spark; do not touch any part of your motor or its electrical system while the motor is running. Do not connect or disconnect any part of your motor's electrical system while the motor is running. Moving parts of your boat motor such as (but not limited to) the propeller, flywheel, and others are dangerous; do not get close to these moving parts while any part of the motor is moving.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT:
The most important piece of safety equipment in your shop is YOU. You must use common sense when working around marine equipment. If something looks dangerous, it probably is, so avoid it. Even the cleanest shop with all the fire extinguishers, first-aid kits, and safety eyewear is no good unless you use your own common sense to protect yourself. You are ultimately responsible for your own safety.
